I thought, hmmm I'm going there in less than 24 hours ... think she'll be free? Haha, she was! So if you're in NY and near Washington Square Park come on by (between Noon and 5pm I think).Hi! My name is Huong, and I live in New York in a tiny apartment barely big enough to live in, far too small to make art. So... I'm creating an 8'x8'x8' inflatable studio that suits two, and I am looking for a public, indoor space in which to inflate it, and someone else to come work in it with me
If her name sounds familiar you might remember her from the LED throwies project that was shown on Boing Boing and at the O'Reilly Maker Faire.

Most of you probably know that I've been involved in theater since UC Berkeley and Theatre Rice . Attempting to stay involved after college ended proved to be somewhat difficult due to working full time and such. However, Duy Nguyen, one of the founders of Theatre Rice got together a few of us and decided to give us some stage time to get back into things. We had several shows last year, and after a short hiatus, we're back!

- Boing Boing: Going Under: moving kids' novel A very high quality young adult novel written in a simple, bare-bones style that was more Hemingway than Marquez. So the lovely MJ asked me to perform at Lap Pop! 2.0 over 6 months ago. To say i was excited is an understatement. However, due to my lack of preparation … I’d have to say my performance was pretty abysmal.
I apologize to those who had to endure my bizzare stories … I’ll be sure to be more prepared next time I do a solo performance.

If you’ve ever downloaded a software package from apache.org you maybe have noticed that some of the packages are mirrored at http://mirrors.playboy.com . Apparently according to this post they are big proponents of open source software. There is also a lot of discussion on whether or not this is a “good idea”.
Some of the arguments are that a lot of workplaces would ban any traffic going to the playboy domain. Another being that if a logo / icon was used to represent the mirror some people may have moral objections.
Checking once again, apparently playboy is no longer a mirror.

About 10 years ago, (Jesus am I getting that old?), a site called Geocities was incredibly popular. They provded free hosting (with ads) for anyone willing to touch HTML or struggle with a WYSIWIG editor. While some useful sites came out of this … a lot were midi infested, animated background garbage.
It looks like MySpace has taken over this horrible horrible niche!
